Bowen & Sound Bath: An Evening of Gentle Rest

Saturday 14th November · 7pm- 9pm
Peace Heal Love Wellbeing Centre
£22 per person · Small group

Ever heard of Bowen Technique? Perhaps you’ve been curious about it for a while, but haven’t quite found your way onto the treatment couch. This evening is a chance to experience its gentle touch in a small, welcoming group, followed by a sound bath to carry you a little deeper into rest.

Bowen Technique uses gentle, precise moves over muscles and soft tissues, with quiet pauses between them. For this evening, you’ll settle onto a yoga mat while I move around our group, working with each person in turn. We’ll follow a simple sequence intended to encourage relaxation and a sense of ease and balance in the body.

There is nothing you need to learn or get right. You can simply lie down, receive and notice how you feel.

Once everyone has received their Bowen, we’ll move into a sound bath. Stay tucked beneath your blanket as the sounds wash around you, giving you a little more time to rest before stepping back into your evening.

If an individual Bowen appointment hasn’t been within reach, this offers a more accessible way to experience it. You’re equally welcome if you already enjoy Bowen, or simply fancy an evening of gentle touch, sound and stillness as the November nights draw in.

Everyone will receive individual hands-on attention within our shared space. This is a group relaxation experience, rather than the personalised approach offered in a 1:1 Bowen appointment.

Coming along

Please bring a yoga mat or something to lie on, pillow and cosy blanket, and wear comfortable clothing. You’ll remain fully clothed throughout. I will work on one layer of clothing so bring a jumper/layer for before and after the Bowen

If lying on the floor is difficult for you, you have any health concerns, or you’re unsure whether Bowen or the sound bath is suitable for you, please get in touch before booking. We can talk through your questions and what you might need to feel comfortable and supported.

£22 per person. Numbers are kept low.

What is Bowen Technique?

Bowen is soft, but powerful. A gentle, hands-on practice that invites you to become quiet enough to listen to your body — perhaps in a way you haven’t for a while.

Using small, precise rolling moves over muscles and soft tissues, I work with a light touch, pausing between sequences to give you space to rest and notice. For me, those pauses are as much a part of Bowen as the touch itself. There is something lovely about allowing space, about listening rather than rushing on to the next thing.

My approach is holistic. I welcome the whole of you: your physical body, your emotional world, your energy, and whatever life has asked you to carry lately. You don’t need to leave any part of yourself at the door.

For this evening, we’ll work with a simple relaxation sequence, offering gentle moments of connection and an invitation to soften. There is no particular experience you need to have. Just come with a little curiosity and let yourself receive.

Softness can be powerful too.
